About me

Omary, a renowned Moroccan DJ and producer, embodies a harmonious fusion of musical traditions and contemporary innovations. Hailing from Casablanca, he draws inspiration from the rich African and Moroccan cultures, blending traditional sounds and wind instruments into his sleek electro compositions, captivating dance floors worldwide.

From a young age, Omary nurtured a passion for music, starting with percussion instruments like the derbouka, a connection he shared with his father. This passion led him to break into the DJing world, quickly attracting attention at a prestigious private party in Casablanca, paving the way for a promising career.

Known for his inspiring sets at the most popular clubs in Morocco, Omary recently founded his own label "OSTOWANA" to foster avant-garde musical talents. As a producer, he stands out for his ability to merge traditional rhythms with afro house and organic house influences, creating immersive sound experiences.

His talent earned him a coveted role at Buddha Bar, where he not only performed as a DJ but also contributed as a producer to iconic compilations carefully curated by Ravin. His musical creations enrich the Buddha Bar's sound identity, bringing a new dimension to this globally recognized musical experience.

Omary also participates in prestigious festivals such as Rabafrica, Wecasablanca, Festival Timelapse, Festival Timitar, and Visa For Music. Through his unique artistic vision and contributions to influential platforms like Buddha Bar, he continues to shape his legacy on the international music scene.

it’s true that I’ve been a DJ for years but I’ve only been producing music for a few years, so from a technical point of view I always develop areas for improvement in each production I make. But from a musical point of view, when I produce music, not only do I do it out of love but I expose in each production real feelings which later translate into music that makes people feel something.
The most important lesson I’ve learned in my career is that you always have to seek and keep learning new things and sharing them with other people. The reason for this is because in return you always meet a person who will share with you his know-how and his knowledge, and the second thing is never to underestimate anyone in the artistic world because art has no limit.
